Courtroom trial mystery novel is always my favourite genre and I have heard about the other part in the series is very good. Therefore, this has attracted me to read this book. Though every book in this series can be treated as stand-alone story, I still like to read it from the beginning.

Eddie Flynn originally is a lawyer but he decided to become a normal person after breaking down the relationship with his wife. However, one day he is caught by Olek Volchek, a Russian mafia who is a client from his previous firm. Olek requests Eddie to be the defence lawyer of the case that he is being accused murder.

As Eddie is not a lawyer anymore, therefore in the beginning he refuses to defend for Olek and refers him back to his ex-firm partner. However, Olek reveals that he has killed Eddie’s former firm partner, because he failed to finish the mission that Olek gave him to do. Eddie finds out that the mission is not only defence for Olek but also has to wear a jacket with bomb on it and get into the courthouse.
